Terms of the Jarvis text notification program

1. The program

David Mendlen, a sole proprietor ("the operator"), operates "Jarvis", home-automation software, for his own household. When you enroll a mobile number you agree to receive automated text (SMS) notifications from Jarvis about the operator's home: door and security alerts, a daily house check, and notes for you that you may reply to. Messages are sent from the toll-free number (888) 961-5202.

2. Consent

You can enroll only in person, on the household's server, where the operator reads the program notice aloud to you and you then enter your own mobile number and type the words I AGREE. Consent is recorded with a timestamp. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of any purchase; nothing is for sale.

3. Frequency and cost

Message frequency varies, typically 1–5 messages per day. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan. The operator does not charge for these messages.

4. Cancelling

Reply STOP to any message to cancel at any time. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent to that number unless you enroll it again. CANCEL, END, QUIT and UNSUBSCRIBE are also honoured. You may also ask the operator to remove your number.

5. Help

Reply HELP to any message, or email jarvisdave2001@gmail.com.

6. Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator and is not guaranteed.

7. Privacy

How your mobile number is handled is described in the privacy policy. In short: your number is used only to send you the messages described here, and mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

8. Changes

The operator may change these terms by updating this page. Continued enrollment after a change is acceptance of the change; you may cancel at any time as described above.
